Our 14U team showed tremendous resilience at the NSA Ride the Wave tournament in Arroyo Grande, battling through a challenging weekend to capture the Silver Bracket Championship.
The team continued to show the competitive mindset and determination that has defined this group all season. After facing early adversity, the girls responded by elevating their play when it mattered most — bringing energy, confidence, and focus throughout bracket play.
The offense came alive in the semifinal and championship games, scoring 19 runs over the two games. Against the Lompoc Warriors in the semifinal, the team set the tone with a dominant offensive performance, hitting .625 as a team and collecting eight doubles on the weekend. Cami W., Karina H., and Kylie B. each contributed two doubles in the semifinal, while Cecily B. and Michelle G. combined to provide a strong pitching performance.
In the championship game against 805 Elite, the team continued to execute at the plate, hitting .550 with five doubles. Karina H. delivered a standout performance with two doubles, and Cami W. added a home run to help power the offense. Michelle G. was outstanding in the circle, pitching a complete game to lead the team to the championship victory.
This weekend was a great example of the toughness and growth of this group. The team continued to compete, trust each other, and find ways to win when it mattered most. Congratulations to our 14U team on earning the Silver Bracket Championship at NSA Ride the Wave!
